Oil makes good economic sense
Over the last year the average cost of oil heating for a three bedroom house was £1044 per annum, which compares favourably with other fuels.
Oil is also one of the most environmentally friendly fuels. Modern clean burning appliances have low CO2 emissions and high efficiency ratings. In fact oil boilers are some of the most efficient you can get.

These figures for England, Wales and Scotland have been supplied by Sutherland Tables (formerly Salkent) independent analysts. The figures cover a period from November 2007 to April 2008 inclusive. The Sutherland figures compare running costs and do not include capital costs. LPG running cost figures include LPG tank rental costs.
