What do I do and what will OFTEC provide me with, once I've passed my assessment?
Training Competent PersonsYou must fill in the OFTEC (green) Registration Form R/250.
Information concerning yourself and the company for which you work must be completed in full, and a declaration needs to be signed to agree to the Rules of Registration (R/100). The form should be given to you by your Training Provider, but if you require a form, please contact OFTEC.
Your company will need to sign a declaration concerning Public Liability insurance cover, minimum £2,000,000. Find out about OFTEC's special insurance scheme?
OFTEC will process your form as quickly as possible, provided that it is fully completed and is accompanied by the following:
2 photographs
Registration Fee –
Individual £210 for 5 years + VAT
Company £510 + VAT for 5 years*
* Please note that at present some Manufacturing Members are providing vouchers or letters for £250 towards Company Registration. This means that you get 5 years' worth of Company Registration for only £260 + VAT.
If your registration application is accepted (OFTEC has to have received confirmation from Certification Body of successful assessment ), OFTEC will send certificates for individual technicians, a certificate for your company, an identity badge listing the classes of registration and a chance to purchase the following:
- Van stickers
- CD11 Commissioning/Service Schedule & Control Document (Part L)
- CD10 Oil Firing installation Completion report (Means of showing compliance with Building regulations).
- CD20 OFTEC Defined Scope Minor Electrical Works Report Form
- CD21 OFTEC Domestic Single Circuit Electrical Report
- CD30 Oil Condensing Boiler Installation Assessment Form (England & Wales)
- TI/133D Domestic Oil Storage Tank Spillage and Fire Risk Assessment Form
- Flue Data Plates (Part J) etc (See OFTEC Direct for all those hard to obtain items)
- Consumer leaflets
- Polo and sweat shirts
- Access to the OFTEC Technical Helpline, to the registered technicians parts of Website including technicians discussion forum where you have the opportunity to correspond with other technicians and to the Technicians Committee that represents you.
